Donald Dumais, age 73, of Poland, Maine, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine, with his loving family and friends by his side. He was born on December 28,1951, in Lewiston, Maine, son of Lionel and Grace (Fournier) Dumais. He was educated in local schools.
Donald had a passion for classic rock which led him to jamming with his childhood friends playing bass guitar.
Don worked at many different places some of which include Giant Advance, Lewiston Public Works, and Home Depot. Don was a jack of all trades and made good friends along the way.
Don was a long time member of the Snowshoe Club and the Pine Tree Warriors Drum & Bugle corp. He lived for spending time with his family and friends up at camp on Sabattus Lake, fishing and hunting, tinkering in the garage, watching football, playing Santa Clause and covering himself in endless artwork.
He was predeceased by his loving parents Lionel and Grace Dumais, his son Donald, and his two brothers, Robert and Adrien Dumais.
He is survived by his wife Carol Dumais, daughter Janice Dumais, sister Helen St. Pierre, and many nieces and nephews.
Anyone who knew Don will always remember his endless stories, witty sense of humor, or his willingness and love for helping those around him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 12th, 2025 at 11am at Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church hall 117 Elm Street Mechanic Falls, Maine 04256.
