I have many fond memories of Dr. Dworken. He was a colorful raconteur and a generous donor of art to Housatonic Museum of Art on Bridgeport. I always enjoyed our time together and am saddened to learn of his passing.
My deepest condolences to his family.

My deepest sympathy to you Dr Dworkens family. My brother was a patient of Dr Dworken when he broke his arm. Dr Dworken told my brother not to play tennis and of course he didnt listen. He went back to Dr Dworken for a check up only to find out he had rebroken his arm. Dr Dworken then proceeded to take my brothers chart and throw it up in the air. My brothers name is Chuck Mercurio. Thank you for everything you did for many more than one can count and Rest in Peace

Loved Dr. Dworken! He treated me for a compound fracture of my leg. Brought into the emergency department at Bridgeport Hospital around midnight and luckily Dr. Dworken was on call. He operated securing my bone with a plate and screws. This was in 1971 and I have never felt any pain or soreness in my leg ever since. Rest in Peace Dr. Dworken and thank you!

Excelllent human being. Exceptional doctor with the finest example of bedside manner I have ever seen. I first met Dr. Dworkin in 1979 as a 14 year old pitcher with a serious elbow injury caused from playing baseball. No other doctor would agree to treat me as they did not understand fully the complications of my injury. My mom who was a nurse in fairfield county for many years was given his name by a doctor that she knew from work. She took me to see Dr.Dworkin immediately. Even though i was told that i would never throw a baseball again by other doctors, he did everything he possibly could to diagnose my situation. He eventually sent me to a doctor in NY city who was at the forefront of orthopedic sports injuries. Dr Dworkin learned over the next few weeks just how important playing baseball was to me. He consulted regularly with the other doctor over the next couple of months. Eventually he and his colleague together performed major orthopedic surgery on my left elbow. Cutting edge, first of its kind surgery to repair the injury to my arm. After 1 year of rehab and many visits back to Dr Dworkin over that period of time I was finally able to resume pitching in 1981, Thanks to Dr Dworkin i went on to play high school and college baseball. I was able to live my dream life at the time thanks to his professional and personal attention to my injury. I still think back often on those days when he helped me. Thank you Dr Dworkin. Rest in peace.
