Don’s life began on February 8, 1960, the son of Robert and Dorothy (Schneider) Entz in Newton, Kansas. He graduated from Remington High Class of 1978. Upon graduation, he worked on the family farm near Whitewater. He later relocated to Mt. Pleasant, Texas, where he worked for Big Tex Trailer Manufacturing, retiring from there in 2022.
On October 6, 2001, he was united in marriage to Dale Tidwell. She survives of the home. Other survivors include his parents, Robert and Dorothy (Schneider) Entz of Wamego, Kansas; sons, Billy Joe Tidwell (Miranda) and Larry Tidwell, of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; 3 nieces and their husbands, Erin Debler (Randall) of Alma, Kansas, Tara Solomon-Smith (Brandon) of Chanute, Kansas and Kelly Taylor (Justin) of Phillipsburg, Kansas; 8 grand-nephews and nieces; 3 grandchildren, Haleigh, Kaytlan and Dylon Tidwell of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; and 5 great-grandchildren who were very special to him, Aubree, Aalyiah, Baylor, Mason and Noah.
Don passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at the age of 64 years old at home surrounding by his family after a brief battle with cancer. Don was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying both hunting and fishing.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Whitewater Cemetery on Friday September 13, 2024 at 11 a.m.
