Donald Wayne Epling

Donald Wayne Epling, 67, of Narrows, VA, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024, surrounded by his family, after a brief illness. Born on July 31, 1957, Don was a cherished member of his community, known for his warm spirit and love for family and friends. 

Don was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Clarence Trinkle Epling and Mary Lee Nance Epling. 

Don had a passion for sports, particularly football and racing, and he found great pleasure in the simple joys of life, such as spending time with his family and friends. His pets were also a significant part of his life, providing companionship and comfort.

A loving father, Don leaves behind five children, 3 sons, Nathan D. Epling (Donna) of Beckley, WV, Jamie Epling (Christy) of Pulaski, Matthew Epling of Narrows, 2 daughters, Ashleigh Northington (Joey) of Pembroke, Stephanie Epling (Ricky Ratcliffe) of Pearisburg. His legacy continues through his 7 grandchildren, Jimmy John, Cheyenne, Britney, Ethan, Kaden, Cameron, Gionni, 9 great grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life. Also surviving is his sister, Janie Farris (Russel) of Salem, special cousin, Tony Lafon (Gloria) of Ironto and special friends, Vera Williams of Beckley and Violet & Allen Snider of Pearisburg.

As per Don’s wishes, there will be no service.
