Donald F. Landry, Jr. September 8, 1960 - February 12, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald F. Landry, Jr., age 64, on February 12, 2025. He was born in Lowell MA. the son of the late Donald F (PA) & Concetta J (MA) (Panuzzo) Landry. Donald, affectionately known as Donnie, was born on September 8, 1960, and lived a life filled with joy, laughter, and love. He was a happy-go-lucky man whose warmth and positive spirit touched all who knew him.

A lifelong fan of the Boston Bruins, Donnie had a passion for hockey, which began in his youth. He played the sport as a young adult and carried that love for the game throughout his life, often sharing his excitement with friends and family. His love for the Bruins was just one example of his enthusiasm for life and his ability to bring people together over shared interests.

Donnie was a devoted family man. His greatest joy came from making memories with his loved ones, whether it was learning about history, having deep conversations, or simply enjoying the everyday moments that made life special. Following in his father’s footsteps he became a master electrician and carrying on the family business of “Landry Electric Service”. Known for his infectious sense of humor, Donnie was famous for his dad jokes that could always bring a smile to anyone’s face. His light-hearted nature and ability to brighten the room will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Donnie is survived by his beloved wife, Claudia Landry, his daughter Emily Landry, step children Jessica Leach, Justin Smith(Danielle), Amanda Simmons(Clayton), sisters Mary-Ellen Moll, Gayle Wadsworth(Randy), Jeannie Rodger, brother Steven Landry(Sharon), as well as seven grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and many extended family members and friends. He was a man who touched lives in ways that words can hardly capture, and his legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to Donnie’s Memorial Visitation on Saturday, March 1, from 10 AM until 1:30 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell. A Prayer Service will immediately follow at 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to: American Diabetes Association, PO BOX 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023. All are invited to a meal of mercy following services at Lenzi’s, 810 Merrimack Ave., Dracut MA.

Rest in peace, Donnie. You will always be remembered for the joy you brought to the world and those who had the joy of your presence.
