Donald M. Goduto, age 87, of Bradner, Ohio passed away suddenly on Sunday (October 22, 2023) at Wood County Hospital in Bowling Green, Ohio. He was a first generation Italian American born on January 28, 1936 in Magnolia, Ohio to the late Mathew & Mary (Scarpino) Goduto. He married Janet L. Scott on August 3, 1957 in Richmond, Indiana.
Surviving Don is his loving wife of 66 years Janet; sons, Mark (Lydia) Goduto of Stoney Ridge, Ohio, Victor Goduto of Bowling Green, Ohio, Mathew Goduto of Bradner, Ohio; daughters, Doreen (Terry – deceased) Klosterhaus of Toledo, Ohio, Felicia (Karl) Eickmann of Bowling Green, Ohio; grandchildren, Melissa, Michael, John, Sarah, Donald, and the following grandchildren who were raised by Don & Janet, Valentina, Karl, Maxwell, Samael; great-grandchildren, Brendon, Jonah, Isabella, Lyric, Sterling, Bodhi, Xander, Rinoa, Cohen, Jaden, Silas, Emberlyn & a girl on the way whose name will be Vesper. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert; sister, Leona Wilfong.
Don made his way up to Toledo following work as a Die Sinker at Toledo Impression and Industrial Machine & Die. After retirement he moved to his farm just outside Bradner, Ohio and then worked for the next 21 years at Home Depot in Bowling Green, Ohio. Don was very proud of his years playing high school football at Waynesburg Ohio High School in Waynesburg, Ohio. He was a history buff, amateur radio operator, and took great pride in his officer training corp classes he took in college.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023, from 3-7 PM at the Albert Bowe American Legion Post #338 in Bradner. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Don's memory may be made to an organization of the donor's choice. Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, Ohio has assisted Don's family with his arrangements.
