Donald Paul Gossard 85 passed away on Sunday, March 23,2025 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown. Born April 18,1939, in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of the late Paul and Mary (Hull) Gossard.

In addition to his parent, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Ann (Whisner) Gossard.

A proud graduate of North Hagerstown High School, class of 1957, Donald carried the values instilled in him during those formative years into every aspect of his life. Before and during his fulfilling career, he was the owner operator of Gossard's Grocery store, while at the same time he devoted 35 years to the Washington County Board of Education where he later retired, but his passion for service did not cease. He enjoyed being a member of the New Life Ministries of Hagerstown, Maryland.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Donald was an ardent woodworker, a passionate hobby that brought him immense joy. He loved to craft meaningful items from wood for his family.

Donald is survived by his daughters, Donna Stokes and her husband Roger of Hagerstown, Maryland, and Kristin Cole and her husband Andrew of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Jenna Montgomery of Hagerstown, Maryland, and Aaron Montgomery of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.

A Celebration of Life for Donald will be held Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 11:00 am at Rest Haven Funeral Home 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue., Hagerstown, Maryland with Pastor Todd Lady officiating. Following interment at Rest Haven Cemetery.

The receiving of family and friends will be Wednesday, March 26, 2025, from 6-8 pm.
