Donald T. Grappi passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025, at the age of 93. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Don lived a full and devoted life built on love, family, and hard work.
In 1953, he married his high school sweetheart, Margaret (Peggy) Sweeney, with whom he shared a lifelong bond, having known her since their early school days. They enjoyed 63 years of marriage. Together, they raised a beautiful family and built a home filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable stories.
Don was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He worked tirelessly throughout his life to provide for his family, and his dedication, integrity, and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret; daughters Cheryl and Donna; parents Carlo A. Grappi and Cecelia (Fahey) Grappi; and brother Charles J. Grappi.
Don will be affectionately remembered as Don, Dad, Papa, and Donnie by his loving family, including his daughters Linda (Robert) Pomerleau, Brenda (Dave) Clark, Rhonda (Keith) Moore, and Laura (William, III) Bassett; grandchildren Nicole Erskine, Michael (Amy) Pomerleau, Andrew (Rachel) Clark, Eric (Sarah) Clark, Arista (Cody) Eberhardt, Leigha (Reggie) Boutwell, Margaret McKnight, Madeline (Christopher) Hinojosa, Courtney (Daniel) Cogan, Ashley (Jonathon) Whalen, and William (Elisabeth) Bassett, IV; and great-grandchildren Kai & Avery Erskine, Emma & Christopher Pomerleau, Christian & Hazel Clark, Pierceson & Chesney Eberhardt, Grayden, Jensen, Keagen & Rowen Boutwell, Noah McKnight, Aydan, Sebastian & baby Hinojosa, J.C., Serenity, Peyton Whalen, Savannah & Kelso Riddle, Emily Bassett, and Connor, Jacob, Graham & Brady Cogan.
Don will be remembered for his unwavering love of family, his gift for storytelling, and the many shared experiences that enriched the lives of those around him. His warmth, humor, and wisdom will be deeply missed, but forever cherished.
May he rest in eternal peace, reunited with his beloved Peggy.
