Donald R. Grass, 78, of Central Square, passed away at home in the early morning hours of Wednesday, September 24, 2025, with his wife at his side.

Memorial Services will take place at 2PM on Saturday, October 04, 2025 at Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall, located at 12 Gildner Rd, Central Square, NY, 13036. Celebrations Of Life to follow directly after at Cleveland American Legion located at 114 Ny-49, Cleveland NY, 13042.

Donald was born in Rome, NY to the late Otto and Arlene Grass on March 12, 1947. He graduated from Camden Central High school in 1966 and attended Morrisville Technical Institute. Donald served his country in the United States Army, and he married Mary L. Jones in Camden on July 04, 1970.

Don was an avid outdoorsman; he loved hunting, fishing, and animals. He was a loving husband, father, and grandpa who was kind, funny, and thoughtful to others. He was a very hardworking man who stayed spry and fiercely independent until the end. In his younger days, he was very active in sports, playing football, competing in track, and a champion wrestler. He loved his family, being a grandpa, and will be deeply missed.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Mary Dupont, and grandchildren, Nathaniel Gill and Kayla Dupont, as well as several siblings.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of over 55 years; Mary Grass, his children; Donnie Grass, Shannon (Lucinda) Grass, Holly (Andy) Burgy, and Quentin Grass, his grandchildren; Thomas, Hunter, Austin, Daniel, Jeremiah, Noah, Madison, Alysa, Mary and Jade, his great-grandchildren; Kanen, Nova and Oakland Grass, as well as several siblings and extended family.
