Donald Ray "Donnie" Greathouse, 72, of Hulbert, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at his home. He was born on May 15, 1953, in Russellville, Arkansas, to Donzil Floyd and Dorothea Gail (Horn) Greathouse.
Donnie proudly served his country in the United States Army from September 1973 to February 1975. Following his military service, he worked as a truck driver. Donnie married the love of his life, Connie Sue Foster, in Dardnelle, Arkansas, in 1976. A marriage that lasted over 49 years.
A man who found joy in the great outdoors, Donnie enjoyed fishing, fly tying, and hunting. He was also an avid NASCAR fan and cherished time spent immersed in nature and the activities he loved.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Donnie is preceded in death by his parents.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Connie Sue of the home; sons, James Greathouse and wife Sherry of Fort Gibson and John Greathouse and wife Lorie of Tahlequah; grandchildren, Gage Greathouse, Megan Greathouse, Drake Hathaway, Abby Hathaway, Joey Greathouse, and Raygan Greathouse; and great-grandson, Asher Greathouse; extended family; and many friends.
A celebration of Donnie's life will be 2PM, Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Gibson with Brother Bill Rust officiating.
