Donald Lewis Green, 79, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025. Born on December 20, 1945, in Louisville, Kentucky, he was the son of Lewis and Emilie (Biery) Green. Donald proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army and later retired after a career with Delta Airlines.
Donald’s life was characterized by his love for travel, especially alongside his beloved wife, Marcia (Haworth) Green, who preceded him in death. Together, they shared many cherished moments on the water, boating and skiing. An avid music lover, Donald was also a talented drummer, allowing him to express his creativity and love for rhythm.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcia, and his sister, Elienne Henehan. He is survived by his sons, Scott Green and David Green (Karla), who carry forward his legacy. Donald also leaves behind his nieces, Carole Brutscher, Lynn Henehan Wilkerson, and Kathy Ratterman.
A reception of family and friends will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 10, 2025, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany).
