Donald Eugene Hock 90, 0f Greenwood Indiana passed away on July 20,2024.
He was born August 25,1933 in Sciotoville, Ohio to his parents Albert and Margaret Hock.
He attended grade school St. Phillip Neri Catholic School in Indianapolis, Indiana where he played football, basketball and his favorite sport baseball.
He continued his education by attending and graduating from Cathedral High School (1951) and playing baseball, earning All-City honors in 1950.
He and his family were longtime members of Holy Spirit and St. Simon Catholic Churches.
He was a veteran, serving in the United States Army Reserves
In 1952, Donald married Patricia Gates. Together they parented four boys: Donald II, Michael, Timothy and Jerry.
Donald was a salesman for Josten’s, selling high school class rings, announcements and caps and gowns.
Donald enjoyed golf and bowling. -excelling at both- well into his retirement.
He is survived by his children: The Very Reverend Donald Hock II (Margaret), Michael (Elaine), Timothy (Sandra) and Jerry (Caroline). In addition, he is survived by 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Margaret- wives Patricia and Ruth- granddaughter Hillary Hock and Grandson-In-Law Brent Burns.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday July 30th, 2024, at Flanner and Buchannan- Memorial Park 9350 East Washington Street, Indianapolis Indiana. Calling is from 11-1, Burial will be immediately following.
