Mr. Donald Howard Hopkins, Sr., age 74, a resident of Culleoka, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at his residence.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 10AM at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church, 1061 S. Ellington Pkwy., Lewisburg, TN, with Father Reggie Augustine officiating. Burial will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens. Military honors will be provided by the United States Air Force. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025 from 4-7PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on September 18, 1951 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Donald was the son of the late Howard Hopkins and the late Eleanor Scott Hopkins. Donald was a graduate of Aiken High School, class of 1970. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for eight years. He married the love of his life and best friend, Mary Terminelli Hopkins; together they celebrated fifty-four years of marriage. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and hunting, spending time on his pontoon boat, playing games on his phone, and spending time with his fur babies. A loving brother, husband, father, and grandfather, he will be tremendously missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Donald (Kari) Hopkins, Jr., daughters, Maria (Nathan) Davidson, Laurie (Jason) Shell, brother, Rick (Anna) Hopkins, sisters, Linda (Steve) Lanter, Debra (Jim) Cunningham, brother in law, Joe (Elizabeth) Terminelli, sister in law, Linda Cameron, grandchildren, Ella Davidson, Brody Shell, Lane Davidson, Brooklyn (Andrew) Ryan, as well as nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother in law, Adam Terminelli and several beloved family members.
Pallbearers will be: Nathan Davidson, Jason Shell, Brody Shell, Jim Brockman, Donald Hopkins, Jr., Rick Hopkins, Andrew Ryan, and Tony Hopkins.
