Obituary published on Legacy.com by Null & Son Funeral Home on Mar. 30, 2026.
Nettie Elaine Martin, of Rolla, MO, passed away Friday, March 27, 2026 at the age of 79.

She was born on December 21, 1946 in Hornbeak, TN to the late Harry Edward Glass and Mary Louise (Holt) Glass. On December 18, 1965, she married Michael Martin in Granite City, IL.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved nephew, Brant Patrich.

Nettie was married to the love of her life for sixty years and spent decades caring for others as a nurse and a mentor to women in her community. As the mom of three sons, she was a true boy mom as well as a loving grandmother to every child she met including her own seven. She was a great lover of the little things in life, always having a cheery disposition. She was known to decorate her house with the changing seasons. She loved riding around the farm and woods with Mike and made sure every visitor got a tour. Nettie was an active member of the Rolla Church of Christ and very involved in the Ladies Ministry. She studied her Bible on the back porch everyday.

Nettie will be greatly missed by her surviving family which includes: her husband, Michael Martin of Rolla, MO; three sons, Michael Martin and wife, Andrea, of Austin, TX, Rob Martin and wife, Laura, of Republic, MO, and Greg Martin and wife, Scarlett of Atlanta, GA; a brother, Melvin Glass and Sandy Mahs, of Highland, IL; one sister, Dawn Patrich and husband, Robert of Columbia, TN; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tom and Joan Wilson of Broomfield, CO; seven grandchildren, Jacob and Sydney Martin, Alexandra and Burke DeBoer, Kyle and Lara Martin, Madison Rae and Pyrrhic Lesaint, Kyla Wolf, Elvis Harrison Martin and Charli Elaine Martin; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many friends.

A funeral service for Nettie E. Martin will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at the Rolla Church of Christ. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 9:45 a.m. at the church.
