Donald Lee Ipock, a lifelong resident of Vanceboro, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at his home on January 15, 2026 at the age of 74. He was the youngest of four siblings, and graduated from Farm Life High School in 1970.

His funeral service will be held at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Vanceboro on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at 3:00 PM, with visitation one hour prior to the service. At other times, family and friends will gather at our home, 6150 US Highway 17N, Vanceboro.

Donald worked at Mills Radio and Television for a number of years. Following his passion for electronics, he began working for WITN Channel 7, where he spent thirty-eight and a half years before his retirement.

Donald enjoyed listening to music, especially gospel, taking photographs, and studying astronomy as expressions of his love for God's creation.

Donald is survived by his loving wife, Celeste Ipock, his sister Judith Ipock Chance (Joe) and brother Kenneth Leroy Ipock (Rita); his stepchildren Melissa Smith (Donnie), Amanda Tetterton (TJ), and Josh Tetterton; four step-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews; His step-grandchild Gabriel (5) and his beloved dog Ginger especially brought him great joy.

Donald was predeceased by his father James Leo Ipock, mother Dorothy Bond Ipock, brother James "Jimmy" Leo Ipock, Jr., and nephew Danny Ipock.

Pall Bearers are Joe T. Chance, Logan Palmer, Randy Rowe, Josh Tetterton, T. J. Weatherford, Chris Wells, and Daniel Smith.
