Donald George "Skeeter" Jones

Donald George Jones, "Skeeter", 76, of Dallas, passed away March 9, 2023, at Atrium Health – Main, Charlotte, NC.
He was born September 10, 1946, in Dublin, Maryland, to the late James and Ethel Ostercamp Jones.
Don attended Community Pentecostal Center in Stanley, NC. He was formerly employed with Natural Water Warehouse as a warehouse manager.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Pete, James, Joe, and Eugenia Jones and Ellen Richardson.
Don is survived by his wife of 57 years, Margarett Jones; son, John Jones and wife Angela, of Dallas; daughter, Georgia Kirkland and husband Ronnie, of Dallas; brothers, Dave Jones of Aberdeen, MD and Harold Jones of Baltimore, MD; grandchildren, Jennifer McVickers and husband Josh, of Stanley, Gregory McCall and wife Kristy, of Gastonia, James Weaver and wife Taylor, of Stanley, and Rheannon Jones of Dallas; and great-grandchildren, Victoria Reep of Stanley, Olivia McCall of Gastonia, Gianna McCall of Gastonia, Mallie Weaver of Stanley, and Joanzie McVickers of Stanley.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 12, 2023, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, at Community Pentecostal Center, 320 Ralph Handsel Blvd., Stanley, NC 28164.
A service to celebrate Don's life, officiated by Pastor Eddie McGinnis and Pastor Gregory McCall, will be held Monday, March 13, 2023, at 2:00 pm, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 2858 E. Highway 150, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
