Don was born May 19, 1952 in Hocking County, Ohio to Donald C. Keels and Virginia R. "Jenny" Summers Keels. He was a 1971 graduate of Logan High School; was a Corrections Officer at the Southeastern Ohio Correctional Facility in Nelsonville; served in the Ohio National Guard; loved NASCAR, fishing and hunting.
Surviving are his sister Lora J. Keels of Logan; brothers-in-law Randy (Denise) Davis of Reedsville, John (Patti) Davis of Hockingport; nephew Charlie (Cassie) Davis of Rockbridge; step-son Chris Kelly, and friend Roger Rutter.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; wife Dorothy Keels.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Friday September 5, 2025 at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio. Burial will be in Hilltop Cemetery in Millfield, Ohio. Military graveside service will be done by The Combined Color Guard.
Calling hours will be observed 10-11am Friday at the funeral home.
