Donald (Don) Paul Klink, age 93, of Madison, WI passed away on Friday, October 3, 2025, at home. He was born on June 19, 1932, the first child of Paul and Marie Klink of Watertown, WI. Don attended St. Francis Seminary where he received his bachelor’s degree. He graduated from Marquette University with a teaching certificate and received his Master’s in Educational Administration from UW Madison. Don taught English and coached football at New Lisbon for several years before working as the Comptroller for the Diocese of Madison for 37 years.
Don married his wife Lynn on June 22, 1963, and they were married for 62 years until the time of his death. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Marie Felix, brother Fr. Delbert Klink, brother Fr. Kenneth Klink, brother-in-law Noel (Bud) Felix, and brother-in-law Richard Horn. Don is survived by his wife Lynn Klink, daughter Rose Ebner (Dave), son Chris Klink (Pam), sister Paula Horn, 2 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Don was active in many activities through the Catholic Church and was previously a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid bowler during his younger adult life and a lifelong golfer.
A funeral mass will be held at 11am Saturday October 11, 2025, at St. Maria Goretti Church, 5313 Flad Avenue, Madison, WI. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9-11am at the church. Luncheon and internment will follow the mass.
Memorial donations in Don’s name may be made to either Agrace Hospice or St. Maria Goretti Church.
The nightly ceremony in Washington, D.C. will be dedicated in honor of your loved one on the day of your choosing.
