CORUNNA - Donald L. Landers, 83, of Corunna, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
He was born on June 11, 1942, in Angola, Indiana, to William and Anna (Leonard) Landers.
Don married Charlotte J. McDonald on Aug. 4, 1961, in Albion. She preceded him in death on Sept. 4, 2023.
He worked at International Harvester/Navistar in Fort Wayne and then Springfield, Ohio, for 30 years. Don then worked at DeKalb Memorial Hospital in Auburn for 10 years, retiring in 2014.
He was a 50 year member of Ashley Masonic Lodge 614 and he was also an active member of Auburn Church of Christ, where he enjoyed volunteering his time.
Don also served on the Ashley Volunteer Fire Department for several years.
Don gave the final gift of life and hope by being an organ and tissue donor.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Tammy Landers, of LaGrange, Andrew and Laura Landers, of Waterloo and Sean and Tina Landers, of Butler; daughters and sons-in-law, Gabrielle and Dennis Neal, of Rome City and Candace and Craig Dickson, of Auburn; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother; one sister; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 62 years, Charlotte Landers; and an infant son, Donald Landers.
Private family services were held and burial took place at Waterloo Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be given to Auburn Church of Christ, 208 W. 18th St., Auburn, IN 46706, and the Corunna Fire Department, 1111 U.S. 6, Corunna, IN 46730.
