Donald Lang Obituary
October 31, 1941 - April 3, 2025
Donald Grant Lang, 83, of Colona, Ill., died Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Mercy One Genesis Medical Center, Silvis, Ill. Services will be Tuesday April 8, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Gibson-Bode Funeral Home Port Byron. Visitation is 10 to 11 a.m. prior to service. Burial is at Oak Grove Cemetery, Port Byron, Ill. Memorials may be made to the family.
Donald was born October 31, 1941 in Moline, Ill. Son of Victor and Dorothy (Skiles) Lang. He married Linda Sue Hartz on May 24, 1975 at the Port Byron Methodist Church. He graduated from United Township High School in 1959, then from Black Hawk College. He became a wood pattern maker and worked at several different shops including in Grand Rapids, Mich. and South Bend, Ind.
Donald enjoyed a variety of cars. Loved working with wood, especially loved listening to music and railroad photography. Donald was very handy and enjoyed doing remodeling projects.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Sue; step-sons, Neal (Yvette) Milburn, Grand Rapids, Mich., Paul (Sue) Milburn, Prophetstown, Ill.; step-daughter, Melanie Middlemas, Grand Rapids, Mich.; step-grandchildren, Corey Milburn, Megan (Matt) Irvine, Alex (Sara) Milburn, Mason Swider; and step great-grandchildren, Conner, Riley, Ellie and Emelia.
