Susan Lang Obituary

Susan Renick Lang passed away peacefully, Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at her home in Englewood, Colorado. She was 76 years old and a native of Richmond, Virginia. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Susan is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Phyllis Renick, and her devoted husband of 52 years, Patrick Russell Lang. She is survived by sisters Karen Renick Swisher (Austin, TX) and Martha Renick (Lake Oswego, OR), a brother Timothy Dewey Renick (St. Petersburg, FL), and her beloved niece and nephews, Zhanna Drum, Milo Drum and Ben Swisher.

Susan graduated from William and Mary College, Williamsburg, VA before moving to Colorado where she and Patrick built their lives. Susan was an accomplished textile artist and weaver. She was a steadfast volunteer social worker in the Somali immigrant community in Denver, maintaining close ties to the families through the years.

Susan loved traveling, reading, and watching films. She supported the Denver Arts Community and was a member of the Denver Art Museum and the Denver Film Festival. An eclectic music lover, in recent years she became an avid fan of BTS who brought her great joy.

A gracious hostess, she loved to gather friends and family around her table. She spent many happy hours at home in her beautiful garden, lovingly caring for her flowers and plants and observing the birds and animals that visited her yard.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice in Susan's memory.
