Michael Adams Obituary
Michael is survived by his son, Sean Barth; daughters, Shania Adams, Rosie Adams, and Thomasene Flammond and their late beloved mother Reeta Flammond; step-daughters, April Thunder Horse and Melinda Olson,; sister, Rosemarie "Dusty" Broken Rope; nieces, Gayla Adams, Lynn Gibbons, Antoinette Poafpybitty, Sunny Lynn O'Rourke, Georgia O'Rourke, Lynette O'Rourke, Lynelle Mendoza, Sara O'Rourke, and Juliette Broken Rope; nephews, Hinhan Loud Hawk, Lorenzo Broken Rope, Michael Broken Rope, Wahokiza Shangreaux, Antonio Shangreaux, and Robert & Samuel O'Rourke, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Michael was preceded in death by his spouse, Linda Adams; parents, Lorenzo "Turk" Broken Rope and Naomi (Two Lance) Broken Rope; daughter, Anna Adams; sisters, Sally Broken Rope, Elizabeth "Betty" Broken Rope, and Angelita Loud Hawk; nieces, Denise Gibbons, Latonya Harvey, and Margaret Shangreaux; nephew, Henry O'Rourke III; and grandsons, Cody Two Bulls, Cole Two Bulls, and Andre Gibbons-Starr.
Pallbearers will Milo Yellow Hair, Lorenzo Broken Rope, Aaron Star Comes Out, Walker Hunter, Jerry Mousseau, Terrance Two Bulls, Jr., and Hinhan Loud Hawk.
Honorary pallbearers will be his Mile High Family, Holy Rosary Mission Classmates, All Veterans, and all his friends & relatives.
Wake Services: One night wake service starting at 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 8, 2026 at the St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Batesland, SD with evening services starting at 7:00 PM with Military Roll Call to follow.
Funeral Services: 10:00 AM, Monday, March 9, 2026 at the St Michael's Episcopal Church in Batesland, SD
Officiating: Mother Michelle Dayton
Traditional Lakota Services: TBA
Burial Services: 2:30 PM, Monday, March 9, 2026 at the Black Hills National Cemetery, Sturgis, SD
