Richard Lee Weston

Richard Lee Weston was born on May 10, 2002 in Pine Ridge, SD to Ernest Weston Sr. and Dana (Richards) Weston. Richard made his journey to the Spirit World on February 17, 2026 at the Commanche Memorial Hospital in Lawton, OK.

Richard was a kind, loving and courageous young man, helpful to all in need. He was a talented singer and a gifted gardener with an amazing green thumb. He loved beyond all measure his nieces and nephews. Richard enjoyed beading, playing ukelele, and playing with his dog, Ruby. Richard loved to play basketball with his two younger sisters, Marissa and Taylor and loved his baby brother, Lucas. Richard loved learning new things, and above all he loved to speak the Lakota Language.

Richard is survived by his parents, Ernest Weston Sr and Dana (Danny Selby) Richards; his siblings, Ernest (Peri Pourier) Weston Jr, Samantha (Sierra Blindman), Taylor Weston, Marissa Weston, Lucas James Weston, Isaac (Mimi) Weston, LaVonne Weston, Erica Weston; his hunka parents, Chris and Larisa Mangione; cousin, Aliana One Feather; nephew, Harrison Weston; niece, Emmeline Weston; along with numerous other cousins, nieces, nephews and family members.

Richard was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Harry Lee Weston, Douglas Richard; grandmothers, Madge Stabber-Weston, Ruth Weston, Rosalind White Magpie, Philomine Blacksmith-Lakota; uncle, Dale Morrison Jr; cousin, Tressa Holiday

Pallbearers will be Roger White Eyes, Richard Ross, Mark Weston, Verne Weston Jr, David Wolfe, Reginald Ashes, Colby Weston, Danny Selby.
