Donald Eugene Leese

1950 - 2023

Donald Eugene Leese, 72, of Carolina Beach, NC, formerly of Manchester, MD, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Hanover Hospital. Born on September 23, 1950, in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Paul Leroy Leese, Sr. and Ruth Dell Leese. He was the beloved husband of 29 years to Sue Ann Leese. Donald was a former member of the Hampstead American Legion Post 200, and he was a sponsor for the AA programs of Maryland and North Carolina. He enjoyed making people smile, and he will be missed by all who knew him. Surviving him in addition to his wife are daughters: Tracey Estes and husband Shane of Manchester, MD, Jenni Rosier of Hereford, MD, stepchildren: Jeanne Daneker of Manchester, MD, Thomas Kemp of Bear, DE, and grandchildren: Lexi and Cole Estes, Sydney, Taylor, and Jordan Rosier, Delaney, Jackson, and Jett Daneker, and Katelynn Scott. He is also survived by his sister: Joan Fowble of Upperco, MD, and nieces and nephews. Donald was predeceased by his brother: Paul "Butch" Leroy Leese, Jr. A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, September 8, from 6-8 pm, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102, where a memorial service will begin at 8 pm, with Reverend Bill Rosier officiating.
