Passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Mary valued education above all. At age 18 she started her undergraduate degree at John's Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. She married, started her family, and relocated to Illinois. She continued her education at Lewis University and achieved her Bachelors in English Literature and teacher's certification and became an English teacher at Lockport High School. She continued pursuing higher education achieving a Masters in Education and taught for over 30 years before retiring. She instilled her high standards for education on her children and grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, David L. Eichhorn; son, David B. Eichhorn; parents, Bernard and Marie Zetlmeisl; siblings, Bernie "Bain," Lou, Peggy and Bernadette Zetlmeisl

Survived by her loving children, Steven (Laura) Eichhorn, Edward "Ted" Eichhorn and Mary Fox; cherished grandchildren, Annmarie, Timothy (Brandy) and Calli Eichhorn; Zachary (Cassie) and Rebecca Weber; Stephanie, Jonathan (Megan), Jillian and Christopher Fox; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Michael (Mary) and Paul (Terri) Zetlmeisl; sister-in-law, Charlotte Zetlmeisl; and many dear nieces and nephews. Personal thanks to Judi Pesavento for her caregiving.
