Mildred Nancy Eichhorn

Mildred Nancy Eichhorn of New Providence, NJ passed away February 5, 2026 in Continuing Care at Lantern Hill Senior Living Community on her birthday. She was 101 years young.

She was born February 5, 1925 in Queens, NY to Albert Atherton and Florence Fay Irvin Atherton. She grew up in East Orange, NJ, graduating from Frances Scott Key High School and then attending a secretarial business college. She then worked for Westinghouse before marrying Henry Frederick Eichhorn on September 11, 1954. He preceded her in death.

Millie and Hank were residents of New Providence since 1954 and raised their four children there. They were longtime members of the United Methodist Church of Summit. She was a very loving mom, grandma, and great-grandma.

Millie is survived by her daughter Nancy Tweed and husband Lorne, daughter Kathy Colabaugh, and son Richard Eichhorn and wife Barbara. She is preceded in death by her husband Hank, son John, and son-in-law, John Colabaugh. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a future date at the United Methodist Church of Summit, 17 Kent Place Blvd, Summit, NJ, 07901. She will be interred alongside her husband at the Memorial Garden there. Please check back for updated information on date and time for the memorial service.
