Donald E. Lockwood, age 64 of Knoxville, Illinois died at 2:08 AM on Friday, December 1, 2023 at OSF St Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois surrounded by his family.

He was born in Galesburg, Illinois on June 6, 1959, the son of Eugene and Dorothy (Fox) Lockwood. He attended and graduated from Knoxville High School in the class of 1977. He married Shelly Clark on July 30, 1983 at the First Presbyterian Church in Knoxville, Illinois.

Surviving is his wife, Shelly Lockwood of Knoxville, Illinois; a daughter, Adrienne (Colt Jones) Lockwood of Knoxville, Illinois, and Austin (Molly) Lockwood of Knoxville, Illinois; five grandchildren: Chase, Ryder, Avery, Billie and Urban; his siblings: Linda Combs of Atkinson, Illinois, Ken (Lynn) Lockwood of Knoxville, Illinois and Burt (Audrey) Lockwood of Rohnert Park, California. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Knoxville, Illinois. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and Green Bay Packer fan.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 3:00 PM with a visitation from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois. Rev. Jordon Knight will officiate. Following the funeral services friends and relatives may continue to visit the family at the Hurd-Hendricks Fellowship Center from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Memorials may be to the Sons of the American Legion. On-line condolences and/or expressions of sympathy may be sent through www.hurd-hendricksfuneralhome.com
