Donald Eugene Lydic, 85, of Spring Church, passed away at home with his wife by his side on Monday, September 29, 2025. He was born in Commodore, PA, on May 3, 1940, to the late Harry and Martha (Homes) Lydic.
Donald graduated from Purchase Line High School in 1958 and then attended Cambria Rowe Business College, graduating with a degree in accounting. He worked for the Mears Coal Company as an accountant and then as a gas station attendant for Quick Fill before his retirement.
He was a member of Mt. Union Lutheran Church, he enjoyed watching NASCAR, collecting stamps, and traveling.
Surviving Donald is his wife Diane M. (Fetterman) Lydic, whom he married on July 18, 1981, nephews James (Sherry) Richey, Gary (Stephanie) Richey, and Leslie Richey.
Friends will be received by the family on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 9 AM until the time of service at 11 AM with Reverend Joyce Dix-Weiers officiating, burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana.
Donalds family wishes to extend a special thank you to VNA Hospice, especially Kathy and Jennifer for the love and support they provided.
