Donald Eugene “Don” Marcil, age 66 of Horse Cave, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2024 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green. He was a retired Army Staff Sergeant of 20 years. He enjoyed “tinkering” with many different things. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He is the son of the late Albert and Virginia Agular Marcil.
He is preceded in death by his son, Randall Franklin Dickerson; four brothers, Gary, Phillip, David and Greg Marcil.
He is survived by his wife, Julia Marcil of Horse Cave; his three children, Tasha Mask and her husband Travis, Chipley, FL, Jeremy Marcil and his wife Theresa, Jefferson City, MT, and Jason Marcil and his wife Juliett, Long View, WA; grandchildren, Omar Mask and his wife Tiffany, Darrien Mask, Hannah Mask, Zebulon Mask, Kailen Sorey, Evelyn Marcil, and Elanor Marcil; great-grandchildren, Tramar Mask and Damien Mask; two brothers, Stanley Marcil and his wife Sally, Steven Marcil and his wife Janette; several nieces, nephews and other extended family also survive.
The family will receive friends from 3:00- 8:00 PM CT on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 and again from 9:00-11:00 AM CT on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM CT on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at Brooks Funeral Home with Bro. Travis Mask officiating. Burial will follow at 1:30 PM CT at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central with military honors.
