Donald J. Maxton, 91, husband of Judith M. (Westcott) Maxton of East Coventry, PA passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025.
Born on October 29, 1934 in Phoenixville, PA he was the son of the late Jones N. and Florence (Schoenstein) Maxton.
He was a graduate of Phoenixville High School. He dedicated two years of his life to service in the United States Army, stationed in Okinawa, Japan. Then worked for the West Company for 20 years in Phoenixville, Jones Motor Company in Spring City and then Transcoil in Trooper until his retirement.
He was a life member of West End Fire Company and Phoenixville No. 1 Fire Company, and member at Kimberton Fire Company.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his 2 children:
Susan Farnsworth;
Doug Maxton, companion of Stephanie;
4 Step-children:
Linda wife of Steve Ferko;
Lois wife of Mark Samilenko;
Kevin husband of Teresa Davidson;
Keith husband of Katrina Davidson.
16 Grandchildren, Megan, Melissa, Kyle, Stephen, Ricky, Mark, Corey, Shannon, Ashley, Christian, Jessica, Daniel, Christopher, Emily, Shyann, and Shaina.
12 Great grandchildren, Sadie, Atten, Westley, Stephen, Cameron, Carter, Crew, McKenna, Wyatt, Greyson, Charlie, and Gideon.
Sister, Margaret "Peg" Paul.
Nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Maxton and brother, Bob Maxton.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Service in the Devlin - Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Monday, December 29, 2025 at 10:30 am.
Burial will follow in Green Tree Cemetery.
A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
