Kathleen 'Kathy' Gail (Debus) Smith, 62, wife of Michael Lorre Smith, of Gilbertsville, PA, passed away at home on Saturday, February 28, 2026 surrounded by her family.
Born in Heidelberg, Germany she was the daughter of Paul Charles Debus and the late Bette G. (Halsey) Rountree.
Kathy co-owned and operated Michael Smith painting.
Kathleen was a member of the Limerick Bowmen Inc archery club. She enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, biking, hiking, kayaking and various out door activities. She donated her time to the Cat Angel Network.
She is survived by her brothers, Kenneth, husband of Joy, Debus, and Brian Debus, sister, Patricia, girlfriend of Rob Ottey, Youse, step mother, Marjorie Debus, nieces Nicole Bani, Ashlyn Youse and Megan Debus and nephews Kevin and Sean Debus.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather, W. Vance Rountree
A Memorial Service will be held at the Devlin - Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
