Donald J. Moss

Donald J Moss, age 86, of Athens, PA, passed away on March 22, 2026. He was born on February 15, 1940, in Scranton, PA. He moved to Waverly, NY at a young age. Don graduated from Waverly High School.

Don worked for the Ingersoll Rand as a Supervisor in the Assembly Department, where he was known for always meeting his production goals.

Don enjoyed golfing and often could be found at the Tioga Country Club numerous days a week. He mastered 5 Hole-In-Ones at Tioga Country Club; #'s 3, 6, 9, 12, and 15. He was an avid NY Yankee and NY Giants fan. He liked to deer hunt. Don enjoyed breakfast with friends at Beeman's Restaurant and dining at Yanuzzi's on Friday nights.

Don is survived by his stepson, John E Swank (wife Laurie), grandchildren, Jacob and Luke Swank, as well as extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Sally (Swank) Moss.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff on the ninth floor of the Robert Packer Hospital for their kindness, support, and care shown to Don.

A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 on April 10, 2026, at the Tioga Country Club in Nichols, NY. A golf outing in the memory of Don will take place after the ceremony. Anyone interested in playing golf should contact Jason at Tioga Country Club before March 30, 2026.
