Donald Ervin "Tuffy" Null went to be with his Lord and Savior on September, 17, 2011, and he was at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was the son of Frank and Hattie Null, deceased, as well as eight sisters and three brothers. Don was a family man that loved his wife and children. He was a Christian for over forty years and taught the adult Sunday School class for over twenty years at Fair Haven Baptist Church. He was saved at Willohill Baptist Church in Willougby, Ohio, and was active in the bus ministry for five years He lived in Ohio and worked at General Electric for twenty years, then he retired to West Virginia and worked at Cedar Coal Company as an electrician. He is survived by his wife, Joan Arthur Null; two daughters, Janey Null (Art) Rose, Tami Null (David) Booth and one son, Donald Miller of Chillicothe, Ohio; four granddaughters Hope Rose, Heather (Jordan) McKinley, Michelle Shoemaker of Tennessee, and Shea Wilburn of Tennessee; five grandsons Phillip (Chasity) Rose, Travis (Christina) Booth, Tyler Booth, Eric and Shad Miller of Chillicothe, Ohio; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson. Also surviving are three sisters Deloris Williams of Pangburn, Arkansas, Ruth (Elwood) Folks of Conway, South Carolina, and Nancy (Jerry) Warner of Charleston, and a host of nieces and nephews whom he loved. Don served in the United States Marine Corps and is a member of the Marine Corp League, Herbert J. Thomas 947 detachment. He was a member of the Electrical Union and UMWA. The funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2011, at Fair Haven Baptist Church, Campbells Creek, with the Rev. Roger Petry and Jim Robinson officiating. The entombment with Military Services provided by the Herbert J. Thomas detachment 947 will follow the service in Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston. Family and friends may call Tuesday, September 20, from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service at the church. The family would like to thank Doctors Michael Robie and Daniel Thistlethwaite for their help and kindness, and nurse Shelia and the team at Hospice, Scott Casto, Jennifer Kirsch, and Edie Kirk. Joan would like to thank her daughters and her grandchildren who worked tirelessly to make their dad and papa comfortable.
