Donald Palker Obituary
Born and raised in Newark, NJ, he was the son of the late Donald R. and Margaret (Murphy) Palker. He moved to Wareham in 1979. Donald worked in advertising sales for the Newark News, the Cape Cod Times and The Independent newspaper. After his retirement, he worked at Wal-Mart in Wareham.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Damien Council 4190 in Mattapoisett and the Sippican Rod and Gun Club. Donald enjoyed photography and travelling, especially to Bermuda.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Palker of W. Wareham; his children, Donald R. Palker, III and his wife Shelley of S. Plymouth, Michael E. Palker and his wife Karla of Rochester, and Lynne P. Palker of W. Wareham; his stepchildren, Stephanie Clish of E. Wareham and Jennifer Perry of Marion; his brother, Gary Palker and his wife Maria of NJ; and his grandchildren, Devin Furtado and his wife Ashley, and Joel and Brian Palker, and Silas Aaron Joseph; and his great grandson, Cooper Furtado.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham from 11 am to 12 noon. A memorial service will be held at 12 noon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southcoast VNA, Attn: Community Affairs, 200 Mill Road Fairhaven, MA 02719.

We are so sorry to hear of Don´s passing. He was such a kind and thoughtful man. We have fond memories of him from the neighborhood and from Walmart. Sending prayers for all of Don´s family today and the days ahead.
