Sandra May Cabral

ROCHESTER – Sandra May Cabral, 74, of Rochester died Friday, February 20, 2026 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. She was the wife of Richard L. Cabral.

Born in Wareham, she was the daughter of the late Charles Antone and Clara (Fernandes) Gonsalves. Sandra has lived in Rochester for many years. She was a cafeteria worker for Old Rochester Regional High School for 30 years, retiring in 2006. After her retirement, she worked as a cashier at Target in Wareham.

She was a big supporter of ORR High School sports, volunteered at the Mattapoisett Wharf Dances and enjoyed watching game shows.

She is survived by her husband, Richard L. Cabral; her sons, Richard L. Cabral, Jr. of New Bedford and David Cabral of Rochester; her siblings, John Gonsalves, Jr. of E. Providence, Cindy Martin of Acushnet, and Diedre Day of Wareham. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Tyrone Cabral, Tiahna Cabral and Amelia Cabral. Sandy was the godmother of Kerry Paradise and Alycia Lopes. She was predeceased by her sister, the late Shirley Antone.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham on Mon., Mar. 2, 2026 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick's Church, High St., Wareham at 11 AM. Burial will be at a later date.
