Ruth Teague Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sullivan Funeral Home - Hanson on Feb. 18, 2026.
Ruth M. Teague of Hanson passed away at Brockton Hospital on Friday, February 13th, 2026, at the age of 83 after a brief illness. She was born February 26, 1942. She spent her early years in Weymouth and moved to Hanson in 1973, where she has lived since.

The majority of her career was spent working for AAA of New England and then Rockland Trust Bank where she retired. When her children were young, she was involved with the Boy Scouts of America as a Cub Scout den mother. She and her husband, Donald, also spent countless hours volunteering for the Whitman-Hanson music program, including serving as co-presidents of the W-H Music Association. She also put her talents to work decorating beautiful wedding cakes and making clothing, including her daughter-in-law's wedding dress.

Ruth and Donald enjoyed traveling around the country camping in their travel trailer. For many years they could be found every weekend at their favorite campground in Rochester, MA, with the occasional winter camping trip to Scusset Beach in Sagamore, MA.

She was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Donald C. Teague. She is survived by her daughter Lynn Landes and her husband Jeffrey of Melrose, MA; her son Donald Teague and his wife Rebecca of Hanson, MA; and her son Richard and his wife Dora of Whitman, MA; as well as eight grandchildren, a grand-dog, and her dear friend, Tanya Cooke of Weymouth, MA. She is also survived by her brother Kenneth Perry and his wife Elena of Jacksonville, FL; and her brother Henry "Butch" Perry and his wife Isabelle of SC.

Private services will be held to celebrate her life.
