Donald Lewis Parks, 64, of Benton, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. Donald was born on December 21, 1959 in Cleveland, Tennessee to the late Frank Parker and Opal Parks. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, working on his antique truck, watching football, and spending time with his family. Donald was a people person; he loved his family and friends dearly. He also loved his dogs and treated them almost as humans. Donald had a strong sense of humor. If anyone knew Donald, they knew how much he loved his beloved wife, Melissa.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his, siblings, Holly Parks, Ronald parks, and Debra Parks; nieces, Oasha Parks, and Tabitha Parks; his nephew, Dion Parks; and his uncles, Dewey Parks, and James Parks.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Melissa Parks; his sons, Desmon (Cassidy) Benton, and Donald (Shelly) Benton; sister, Judy Jarrett; his grandchildren, Lanaya (Eric) Miller, Ezra Benton, Ariana Benton, Desmon Benton Jr., Hannah Benton, and Caleb Green; great grandchildren, Ace Melton, Nyla Miller, Eric Miller II, Dream Benton, and Ever Miller; and his mother and father in law, Diane Long, and Bob Long; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 4:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland with Pastor Frank Walker officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm prior to the service. A graveside service is to follow at St. Elmo United Methodist Church Cemetery in Georgetown, Tennessee.
