Donald MacSweyn (McSweyn) Pearsall
June 2, 1937 – November 5, 2024
Spring Hill, Florida

Donald MacSweyn (McSweyn) Pearsall, born on June 2, 1937, in Pittsburgh, PA, passed away peacefully in Spring Hill, Florida. Raised in Avon, CT, Donald's journey took him through various places, including Framingham, MA; Feura Bush, NY; and Hudson, FL.

A proud graduate of Harvard University, Donald dedicated his career to the field of actuarial science. He worked at John Hancock and later served at the New York State Department of Insurance. His professional accomplishments were complemented by his dedication to community service, notably as the Head Trustee for the Framingham Public Library.

Donald is survived by his beloved wife, Gail Pearsall; daughters Brenda Pearsall (Roger Mishler) and Jennifer Pearsall (Paul Sostilio); grandchildren Jane McQueeny, Louis Sostilio, and Elena Sostilio; and step-daughter Suzanne Schwing. He is also remembered by his nephew, Charles P. Stone. He was preceded in death by his parents, David E. Pearsall and Flora M. Pearsall, as well as his siblings David E. Pearsall II, Martha Pearsall, and Mary Stone.

A man of diverse passions, Donald was a devoted Boston Red Sox fan, enjoyed singing in his church choir, and found joy in solving Sudoku puzzles and capturing moments through photography. His legacy is one of intellectual curiosity, community service, and deep family love.

In lieu of a formal service, the family invites those who knew Donald to remember him in their own way.

Donald will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate to be a part of his life.
