Donald "Pete" Pecor 78, of South Burlington died on February 24, 2017 at the University of Vermont Medical Center. Pete was born on September 8, 1938 in Burlington Vermont the son of Donald and Evelyn (Boilio) Pecor. Pete attended schools in Burlington and served in the Navy from 1955 until 1959. Pete later worked at IBM for many years. On November 11, 1958 Pete married Caroline (Gilmond) Pecor, who survives. Pete is survived by his children Leo, Peter (Lucie), and Cynthia Pecor. His brothers Robert and (Nancey) Pecor of Melbourne Beach FL, and James (Terry) Pecor of Milton, VT. His three sister in laws Gloria Gilmond, Paul and Alberta Ploof of South Burlington, and Mary Lou Demila also survive him. Pete is also survived by his granddaughters Jessica, Crystal and Amanda Pecor and great-grandchildren: Zoe, Lucas, Landon, Ada, and Emma. Pete was predeceased by his siblings: Roland "Babe", Gary, Terry, Ronald "Pinky", Barbara Houle and Joyce Ward. An hour of visitation will start at 10:00 AM on Thursday March 2, 2017 with a Funeral Service starting at 11:00 AM at the Ready Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 261 Shelburne Rd. Burlington VT. 05401. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Burlington. In Lieu of flowers please donate to the UVM Medical Center Baird 4th Floor.

Caroline and family, I am saddened to hear this. Pete was a great man, and will be missed. I think back often when my son was little, how much Cody enjoyed his time that was spent with Pete. R.I.P my friend we will keep you in our hearts forever
