Donald Richard Pierce

Donald Richard Pierce, 68, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025 in St. Joseph, Michigan.
Donald was born on July 13, 1957 in Benton Harbor, Michigan to the late Carl Pierce and Doris (Prichard) Rieves.
Left to cherish the memory of Donald is his loving wife of 41 years, Edith (Baysinger) Pierce; children, Michael (Dori) Thomas, Donald (Susan) Pierce Jr, and Amy (Adam) Pendleton; 6 grandchildren, Jeffery, Alexa, Allen, Cassidy, Brody, Evelyn, and 1 great grandchild named Fay.
"Big Don" was committed to a life in serving the Lord. He was active in many functions of the church community. He loved to dance with his grandchildren and hear their laughter.
He enjoyed golfing, canning and hanging out with his family. He loved to take drives along Lake Michigan. He was a proud author and published two books about his life and family experiences.
He was a supervisor and worked for Modern Plastics for 25 years and was a wastewater professional at Coca Cola for several years to follow. He always said, "Hard work pays off."
One piece of advice that he wanted to leave us is the best gift you can give each other is TIME!!!
Visitation for Don will be on Saturday, November 15, 2025 from 11:00am to 12:00pm with a Celebration of Life to be held at 12:00pm at Hope Reformed Church, 1365 Monroe Blvd. South Haven, Michigan 49090.
In lieu of flowers Don's wishes were for any donations to go towards his grandchildren's college funds at the memorial service.
