Donald Pitcher Obituary

Donald Pitcher, 89, Muskego, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. He was born to the late George and Bertha (Wayer) Pitcher and raised in Stevens Point, WI. His siblings were Beverly, Dorothy, Patricia, John, Jerry, Kenny and Richard. Donald had many jobs growing up to help his family where he developed a strong work ethic. He worked on his uncle's farm, had paper routes and set up pins at the bowling alley. Donald enlisted in the US Air Force at the age of 17 towards the end of the Korean War. While he was on leave, it was during this time that he met Pat. Donald was visiting some relatives in Milwaukee with his parents. His cousin, Estelle, and Pat's sister, Jeri, were friends and thought Pat and Donald would hit it off so they introduced them. Donald and Patricia were united in marriage in November of 1957. They first lived in Stevens Point then moved to Milwaukee. He lived his last 50 years in Muskego, WI.
Donald started his career in grocery stores (National Tea and Kohl's) and quickly earned a position in management. From there he went into security at South Ridge Mall, Alverno College and County Stadium. His final job was as a bailiff at the Waukesha County Courthouse. Donald loved spending time with his family and going to the weekend getaway trailer home in Wild Rose, WI. He enjoyed taking vacations, going to ball games and family gatherings. Donald took joy in nature and spending time outdoors. He liked yardwork and planting trees, watching ball games and working on puzzles.
Donald is survived by his wife Pat, children Pam, Doug, Dan (Lisa), Darryl (Judy), Dean (Natalie), and Paula (Mike), grandchildren Amanda (Don), BJ (Kayla), Lauren (Aaron), James (Ashley), Mary (Skyler), Tony (Katja), Michael, Peter (Emily Rose), Clare, David, Therese, Rose, Miranda (Alfonso), Will and Macy (Alex), great-grandchildren Lucas, Serenity, Joshua, Emily, Harper, Payten, Jaxsen, Bernadette, Enzo, Bennett, Liliana, Damian, Frantisek, Philip, Bruno, Ansel, Audrey and Sally as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024, at ST. LEONARD CATHOLIC CHURCH (W173 S7743 Westwood Dr., Muskego) from 10:00 AM until 11:45 AM with a 12:00 PM service. Burial will take place in Southern Wisconsin Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Union Grove. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to St. Jude's or St. Leonard's Catholic Church.

My dad Reuben had worked with Don for many years at National Tea and one summer I had babysat for the kids. My dad always enjoyed working with him and always was just a very nice guy with a good family. Mary Beth ( Hablewitz) Javorek
