Donald Charles "Donnie" Powell

It is with great sadness that the family of Mr. Donald "Donnie" Charles Powell, 43, of Hephzibah, GA announce his passing. Donnie entered his eternal rest at home, surrounded by the love of family on November22, 2025 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Donnie was a native of North Augusta, SC but had made his home in Hephzibah, GA for the last several years. He was an Aiken County Adult Education Graduate and a long time Jiffy Lube employee for 23 years until his cancer diagnosis.

Donnie was an avid wrestling fan and enjoyed scary horror with Halloween being his favorite holiday. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his fiancé, April Ledford, Graniteville, daughter, Star Nicole Powell, Graniteville, son Samual David Smith (Ivon), Graniteville, mother, Karen Elmy (George), Hephzibah, three sisters, Michelle Mitchell, Couchton, Amy Powell, North Augusta, Andrea Widener (Casey), Windsor, brother TJ Lester (Abby), Aiken, father Donald R. Powell (Connie), North Augusta and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Donnie will be greatly missed by family and friends alike.

A memorial service will be held at a later announced date.
