Donald Raw Obituary
Donald worked as the Superintendent of schools for the City of Canandaigua. He was extremely active in his community, including the First Congregational Church, Rotary, Camp Onseyawa, the Ontario County Historical Society, and countless other organizations.
To know Don would be to understand that he had a perfect heart, a beautiful soul, a keen sense of humor, and above all, a deep and all-encompassing love for his family and friends.
Friends may attend calling hours on Friday, August 26, from 4-6pm at Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home, 47 N Main Street, Canandaigua. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 27, at 11am, at The United Church of Canandaigua, 11 E. Gibson Street. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Canandaigua. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Light Hill Comfort Care Home, 5160 Parrish St. Ext., Canandaigua, NY 14424. Condolences may be offered at www.johnsonkennedy.com.

To Don´s family, my deepest sympathy are extended. Don and I started the same year as School Superintendents, 1991. In fact we were both finalist for the Canasseraga CSD Superintendency. Don got it and I went to Friendship CSD. In the ensuing years we´d share a laugh or two at the annual NYSCOSS Conference. Don was a gentleman, scholar and highly respected colleague. He shall be missed greatly.

Kim, Dad Raw, Mom Raw, and Marlee and extended family... our deepest condolence on Dons passsing and as you all move forward in the days no weeks ahead. I loss of one of the good guys. I met him after collage when he came to Beardsley to visit his Aunt Dorie he ended staying through the summer moved in with me and played on our softball team great short stop and could throw a football a mile. He and I and Scott Doschadis had a great summer, We have kept in touch and seen each other a few time over the years. He was a great guy I´ll miss him
