Donald Curtis Schroeder, 61, of Moorhead, MN, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Essentia-St. Mary's, Detroit Lakes, MN.
In Loving Memory of Donald Schroeder
Donald was a simple man with a big heart and a deep appreciation for life’s quiet joys. Born and raised in Minnesota, he carried a lifelong love for the outdoors. Whether he was in the woods hunting, casting a line in his favorite fishing spot, or relaxing on the lake, Don felt most at home surrounded by nature.
A passionate sports fan, Don cheered faithfully for the Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Twins, win or lose. His loyalty to his home teams reflected the kind of man he was—committed, patient, and true.
Those who knew him will remember his calm demeanor, his quiet wisdom, and his love for nature. He never needed much to be happy—just a good game on the TV, the wind on the lake, and the people he loved close by.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM, at the American Legion in Moorhead, MN.
