Donald Ely Scott Jr., 54, of Wheelersburg, passed away Friday suddenly on November 14, 2025. He was born December 4, 1970 in Fort Bragg, NC, a son of the late Donald Ely Sr. and Connie (Ratliff) Scott. Orphaned at age 6, He was raised by his grandparents, Audrey and Donald Daily whom also preceding him in death. He was retired from, Ohio Security Services and Tek Systems. He loved spending time with his family, particularly his children playing computer games and D&D and his grandchildren, helping to coach his grandsons little league baseball team. Mostly, he loved watching movies and hanging out with his best friend, his wife of 32 years. Over the years, he and his wife took in many strays, from stray cats to stray kids providing them a short to long term loving and safe haven.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa (Ross) Scott. Two sons, Michael (Bailey) Hutton, Dillone (Alyssa) Scott, Alexandrea (Zachary) Baisden – Scott; thirteen grandchildren: Hayden, Ely, Jackson, Cameron, Braxton, Jameson, Karaline, Wyatt, Olivia, Lyla, Ella, Harlow, Lincoln; one brother Randy (Tonya) Scott; in-laws Ray and Connie Ross; sister in-law Lisa (Tom) Kirk and brother in-law RJ (Ashley) Ross. Also, preceding him in death is his mother in-law Velma (Hay) Ross.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with James Ross officiating. Burial will be at Salisbury Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm prior to the service. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
