Donald Seeley Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home and Cremation Services - Centralia on Mar. 4, 2025.
Donald "Don" Seeley, Jr., a beloved father, grandfather, son, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at the age of 65.
Born in Michigan on November 11, 1959, the son of Donald Seeley, Sr. and Ursala Seeley. He married Bonnie Crawford and they later divorced. On January 24, 2004, Don married his soul mate, Donna Stover and she preceded him in death on May 15, 2023.
Don worked as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic at Home Nursery in Breese, Illinois, where his expertise and dedication were highly regarded. His love for machinery was only rivaled by his love for his family and his zest for life.
Don is survived by his cherished parents, Donald Seeley, Sr. and Ursala Seeley, and his five loving children: Dean Jones, Donald Seeley, III, Sierra Seeley, Thomas Jones, and Jeffrey Jones. He leaves behind his treasured grandchildren, including Desirae, Karli, and Deacon Seeley, along with many more who fondly knew him as Grandpa. Don's mother-in-law, Kathryn Stover; sister-in-law, Kathy Hollingsead and husband Mike; brothers-in-law, Ronald Stover, Jr. and wife Latina, and Robert Stover and wife Melissa; and numerous nieces and nephews also mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Donna Seeley, and his brother, Robert Seeley.
In accordance with Don's wishes, cremation rites will be accorded, and a visitation will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia, IL. The family invites motorcyclists to assemble by 12:00 PM to honor Don with his Last Ride to Hillcrest Memorial Park following the visitation-a fitting tribute to his spirited life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to The Shriner's Children's Hospital and will be graciously accepted at Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home, located at 235 North Sycamore Street, Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618)532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Seeley Family. Condolences may be shared with the family online by visiting www.sutherlandfuneralhome.com and the Sutherland Funeral Home Facebook Page. Don's memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
