Donald "Don" Lawrence Snyder, a beloved husband, father, grandpa, and friend, passed away on October 7, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on January 21, 1935, in Youngstown, Ohio, Don will be remembered by his kindness, compassion, and commitment to his loved ones.

A proud graduate of Chaney High School in Youngstown, Ohio, Don furthered his education by earning a Bachelor of Science degree from Youngstown State University while working and raising a family. He went on to establish a long and successful career that led to the role of Senior Vice President at Republic Builders Products for many years. He was also a senior vice president at GF Office Furniture in Gallatin. Completing his career, Don became a partner with Wallace Consulting Group.

Don was known for his generous spirit and his ability to always think of others first. He was described as a good, honest, and compassionate man—attributes that defined him throughout his life. Don was a devoted parishioner at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Hendersonville, TN. He was the best dad, grandpa, and friend, always ready with an encouraging word to make you smile.

Don loved to travel and cherished the time spent with family. You would often find him on family trips to the Outer Banks, taking boating excursions, or playing a round of golf with friends. Closer to home, Don spent his time watching the Titans football games and making it a priority to be at the sporting events of his grandchildren. He would also enjoy a friendly bridge game at the senior center.

He is survived by his loving wife, Elaine Snyder, with whom he shared 40 wonderful years of marriage. He is also survived by his children: Lynn (Jimmy) Carney, Brad (Cindy) Snyder, Amy Trotto, Kristin Calloway, and Emily (Rocky) Goodall, as well as his grandchildren, Reagan Goodall and Roman Goodall.

Don is preceded in death by his father, Anthony L. Snyder, and his mother, Josephine Snyder, along with his beloved Aunt Bert.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Don’s honor.

A private celebration of life will be held at the Snyder home on Friday, October 17, 2025.
