Donald R. (Skinner) Stephens Jr, 59 of Taylorville the son of Donald R. Sr. and Donna (Eggerman) Stephens of Taylorville, IL passed away in the arms of his wife while at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. Donnie was a graduate of Taylorville High School and Millikan University. In 1993 he married the love of his life Christine Adams and raised 3 amazing children.
Donnie is survived by his Wife: Chris, Daughters: Samantha (George) Seaver of Woodway, TX; Kryshna (Christian) Crowder of Tovey, IL and son Gunnar Stephens of Taylorville, IL. His true treasures were his 10 grandchildren: Gabrielle, Shannon, Caroline, Fallon and Calloway Seaver of Woodway, Texas, Braylin, Grey, Harper, Ember and Lilith Crowder of Tovey, IL; 7 nephews: Gatlin, Zac, Cody, Chase and Trey Crites, Teagan and Padene Wicks, 1 niece Kira (Wicks) Phillips; Sister: Dawn (Gregg) Crites and Mother: Donna Stephens. Donnie was preceded in death by his father: Don, Grandparents: Clifford Eggerman, Maxine Eggerman Brower, Alice Stroh Stephens Speagle, Duff Stephens, John Speagle.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 3-6 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral service will be immediately following the visitation starting at 6:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Pastor Dennis Metsker officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Sutton Memorial Home to assist the family with expenses.
