Donald W. "Donnie" Stephens

Donald "Donnie" W. Stephens passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Donnie had a passion for music showcasing his love for it by playing in his band First Class Country for most of his life. He donated his time to others for many benefit dances over the years. Listening to and playing old country music was his favorite.

He is a retiree from General Products where he met many of his friends, and an active church member at Bethel Christian Church. He loved traveling to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee over the years. Donnie's positive attitude and smile radiated, and he never met a stranger.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda; daughter Wendy Eller (Kevin); grandchildren Tate Hall, Mindy Hall, and Faith Wheeler (Dustin); great grandchildren Harrison and Reed; sister Bettie Fines; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Stephens Sr; mother Susie Boyd; son Mark Stephens; brothers William "Junior" Stephens Jr and Daniel "Danny" Stephens; and sisters Edna Ennis and Lillian "Berta" Dodd.

A service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
