Melissa Stephens, beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away far too soon on February 12th, 2026 at the age of 57. Her passing leaves a space in the hearts of all who knew her that can never be filled.

Melissa was truly the life of the party. Her laughter was contagious, her smile could light up any room, and she had a way of bringing people together like no one else. She loved painting and found joy in expressing herself through art. Whether she was creating something beautiful on canvas or simply enjoying time with the people she loved, Melissa lived her life with color, warmth, and spirit.

Above all else, Melissa was a devoted and loving mother to her three children: William Pierce , Kaytlin Benton and John Devin Stephens . They were her greatest pride and deepest love. She loved them fiercely and unconditionally, and they love her more than words can express.

Melissa is survived by her children: William Kyle Pierce, Kaytlin Stephens Benton (wife Cameron), and John Devin Stephens.

Brother :Michael Anthony Quarles, his wife: Maria del Socorro “Coco” , and their three children: Michael Dylan ,Sarah Monserratt , and Michael Christopher.

Step Father: Ron Corley

Grandchildren: Madison, Brantley, and Parker.

She was preceded in death by her mother: Linda Corley. Grandmother & Grandfather: Tony & Louis Santoro.

She will be remembered for her vibrant personality, her generous heart, her sense of humor, and her ability to make any gathering unforgettable. Though she was taken too soon, the memories she created and the love she gave will live on in all who were blessed to know her.

A service to celebrate Melissa’s life will be held on Thursday February 19th, 12:00 pm at Ford Park Baptist Church in Shreveport, LA.
